GRANDPA'S ANNUAL HOT DOG ROAST

The Monday before Halloween Regan's dad puts on the annual wienie roast at the barn. There are plenty of hot dogs, chips and cookies to eat. Clark invites both sides of the family, friends young and old and anyone that he happened to run into that day. The kids love it because the horses are saddled and ready to go. They don't care about eating all they want to do is ride ALL night. It's a chance to catch up on whats going on in each others lives and have a dog or two or four.(yuck) What more can you ask for. Regan manned the grill most of the night and really cooked up some mean dogs. Mckray getting in a little horse time.
Having a good Ol' time!!

Warming up by the fire.

I love this picture!!!

All I want to do is ride the horse.

Sittin pretty.

The first thing Journey did when we got there was pet and feed the horses.
She would live at the barn if we would let her.

REGAN'S SURGERY

I found a lump on Regan's back a while ago and we went to the doctor and it was diagnosed as a fatty growth. We were told that we didn't need to have it removed right away that it could wait unless it got bigger or it started to bug him. Sure enough this little fatty growth started to grow and grow and grow until it turned into this. So we decided it was time to have surgery and have it removed. Regan had to have an MRI done and they found something that didn't look quit right so we had to go to to a specialist at Huntsman Cancer Center.....I know we were freaked for a little bit but it( thank goodness) is not cancer. We feel really blessed because it is very humbling to go where there is cancer all around you and you are told that you are the lucky one today. My heart broke for all of those other people that didn't get the news that we got and were told that they did indeed have cancer. Why are we the lucky ones? I don't know, but we are very blessed.
Regan before they wheeled him away

Saying goodbye.

He was shivering so bad when he woke up that they had to give him tons of blankets to warm him up. He woke up so happy and chipper and was talking a mile a minute. He kept saying "I can't believe that it is over." "I just barely closed my eyes." "What a trip." He said this about a thousand times. It was so funny.

We are finally home. Juju didn't want to leave his side. She was a wonderful little nurse.

This is the glorious gift basket that we got from the nurses because the doctor was behind. We had to wait 4hr. until it was our turn. We checked in at 1:15 and got home at 9:30. It was a very long day.

This is the pump drain that I have to empty every 4 hrs. Maybe I should go to nursing school.

The awesome stitches and pump drain.
Regan is doing well and recovering nicely. He is sore but hasn't had to have very much pain medicine. A BIG shout out goes to our nephew Robert for giving Regan a blessing. My sister Karen for hanging with me and for bringing us some wonderful dinner and treats. Regan's mom and dad for taking the littles and feeding them and playing with them. Aubrey who took Bridger to his concert. Mostly I need to thank my Father in Heaven for watching out for us and answering our prayers.

A NIGHT OUT WITH THE GIRLS

My two beautiful sister in laws and my wonderful Mother in law took a little trip up to S.L for some girl time. We shopped at Tai Pan for some super cute Halloween decorations and started doing a little Christmas shopping. We did a lot of putting things in the cart and taking things out of the carts because there is just too many cute things to buy. We kept asking ourselves do we LOVE IT or LOVE, LOVE IT or the big one, do we LOVE, LOVE, LOVE IT.... a little trick I use when I can't decide if I want to get something or not. It has to have the 3 loves attached to it. Silly, I know but it works for me.
After we were shopped out...which didn't take very long because we were all so hungry we went to the Cheesecake factory for some really good food. We had some good conversations and got to know each other a bit more and saved the best for last the YUMMY cheesecake. We decided that we needed to do this more often and I can't wait until next time girls. We missed our other 2 super cute sister in laws... I hope you guys can make it next time.
I LOVED, LOVED, LOVED our night out together!!

"WII" WISH YOU A HAPPY BIRTHDAY BRIDGER

Bridger celebrated his 13th birthday yesterday. He woke up to his favorite breakfast of
delicious German pancakes. He was met at school by a decorated locker wishing him a Happy Birthday from the family. I made him a coconut cream pie....again his favorite. After school he had a few friends over for a Wii party with pizza and treats . It looked as if everyone had a great time goofing off and being boys....they are loud, loud, loud!!! "Wii" hope that you had a wonderful day and "wii" all want you to know how much "wii" love you and most of all welcome to "teenager hood."

It's my birthday.

FINDING THE RIGHT PUMPKIN, BAKING COOKIES AND WATCHING CHARLIE BROWN

Mom and Dad Preston invited us to go and pick pumpkins at the local pumpkin patch. This is always a really fun fall tradition except this year it was quit a bit cooler than in years past. The kids all love going down almost every row in search of that "perfect" pumpkin. The rule with our family is you can have any pumpkin in the patch as long as you can carry it yourself, so there was alot of picking up and putting down and testing to see if they could carry it. Finally all the pumpkins were chosen and then they spent some time in the little hay maze running around with the cousins and having a grand time. All in all it was a very delightful and brisk day.

For F.H.E we watched the Great Pumpkin, because who doesn't love Charlie Brown and the gang. We also made some yummy and frightful cookies. Granny Queenie came over and helped. It was a decorating extravaganza.

TAGGED (BY EMILY)

Rules... go to "my pictures" post the 6th picture in the 6th folder then pass on the tag. This was Aubrey's 16th birthday party last year. We had it at the Mapleton barn and invited a ton of her friends. The theme was "sweet 16" so we had a "candy bar" set up with cotton candy and all of her favorite sweet treats. It was so fun to see her with all of her close friends enjoying her life. They danced all night to a DJ that we hired (that was a big hit.) She will be 17 in November and I can't believe how time flys . I love this girl so much, she hasn't given us TOO much trouble just the normal stuff and for that I am grateful (knocking on wood.) She is so fun to be around and has ALWAYS been so helpful to Regan and I. I can't imagine not having her around and I don't look forward to when she moves away. I will be sooo happy for her but I'll be sooo sad for me. I have one more year with her until she goes away to collage so we are going to enjoy every minute of it.
I tag April,Heidi,Tahsha,Tina

** We would play this song for Aubrey when she was little..on a record player no less , remember those. She would make us play it over and over and then she would look up at me and say "mom this guy really loves me huh."
Yeah Aubrey a ton of people love you!! **
