A DATE WITH OUR OLDEST

So, for awhile now we had tried to take Aubrey on her "special" date with mom and dad.

This has not been an easy thing to do, with her ever so fun and busy social life, but finally we were able to pick a day that she didn't have anything more fun to do.

I mean really, she likes us, but friends come first, can you blame her?

As with the other kids she got to pick what we did on this date. She wanted to go to P.F Chang's and do some shopping.

We had a delightful time sipping on some herbal tea at the Chang's and eating and chatting about life and such.

After dinner we headed to do the important shopping. Regan is really such a good dad

He just sat back very patiently and let her do her thang of trying on LOADS and LOADS of cloths.

After Aub picked out just the right outfit. I reached in my purse to get something and my camera got tangled up and came CRASHING down on the very hard floor. Batteries went flying and it all happened so quickly. I picked up all the pieces and put them back together but ,it won't turn on.

I broke my camera.

I am so sad.

But, a broken camera is nothing compared to the fun that we had hanging out and having a good time.

SIMPLE STUFF

Over the weekend I made 50 pints of yummy strawberry jam.

I'm not sure why simple little stuff like making jam on a snowy day makes me so happy

but it really does.

I love my simple little life.

SUMO TIME

Much fun and silliness WILL occur when you start shoving pillows in your shirt.

Cousin Eric spent a few days with us and while he was here the kids got their

SUMO ON.

YOU don't want to mess with US.

*use reusable bags.

Keep them in your car at all times and you are always ready.

If you purchase just one or two items just say no to a plastic bag.

*use a reusable water bottle instead of buying plastic water bottles.

Remember, every little bit helps.

A HIDDEN TREASURE

We decided to go somewhere exotic for spring break, or so it may appear.

We actually happened on to this hidden treasure not much more than a mile away from our house.

We had seen the trail head many times and finally decided to see where it led.

What a surprise!!

We felt like we were in a tropical paradise with moss covered limestone alcoves and beautiful miniature waterfalls created by some fresh springs that fed into the river. Just two days prior to this we had a late spring storm that laid several inches of snow down. It was hard to believe that we were now wading up the creek with perfect temperatures.

Ya gotta love UTAH!!!!!

Some of the wildlife we saw:

A butterfly, A water snake, and A leech that had latched onto Mckray's toe. He was not worried about it at all but Juju didn't like the leech thing one bit.

SWEETS WITH MY SWEETNESS

Me and my sweetness went out for some lunch at a place we have wanted to try for some time now. It is called Guru's and it's located in downtown Provo.

I tried the sweet pork tacos and sweetness got the fish tacos. We both loved it.

If you haven't been, we highly recommend it.


Next stop, the sweet tooth fairy bakery to satisfy our sweet tooth.
It certainly did just that.
SO, SO GOOD
Another must if you haven't been and if you have you know you need to go again.
I got the strawberry shortcake cupcake and sweetness got the key lime pie cupcake.
Both were Divine.
My goal is to try each and every flavor.

SASSY GIRLS

It was club time again with my girls. We met at the Harley Davidson cafe for some delicious burgers and tiny fries.

I love to get together with these sassy girls. We have so much fun together and act just like we did when we were in High School.

Speaking of High School....our 20 yr. reunion is approaching rather quickly!

Yeah, neither can we.

We woke up early Saturday to a very soggy day.

It didn't bother the kids one bit, rain or shine they were ready for some fun.
Thanks, Jill for working so hard to make this fun for everyone in the hood.

GRANNY QUEENIE'S WARD EGG HUNT

This is a HUGE egg hunt.
They fill about 600 eggs with candy, money and a ticket for a free bike.
All the neighbors bring animals like bunnies, baby chicks, baby ducks and horses.

PALREYMAN'S EGG HUNT

The kids have a blast here because of all the cousins.
