OUTBACK MACK

GOOD'AY MATES !!

Mckray gave a report on Australia today. He could teach the class anything he wanted about Australia, so of course Mckray wanted to learn about what sports they play down under. We discovered that sports are extremely popular, especially rugby and cricket. He borrowed grandpa's Didgeridoo and cool hat and we played some music and learned a little about the Aboriginals. GOOD JOB MCKRAY!!!!!!!!!!!!

JOURNEY THE ZOO KEEPER

Journey had a zoo program at school today. She was the zookeeper with her buddy Sadie. She has been so excited about it and working hard at memorizing her parts..... you did a fantastic job!!! She was really into it the whole time because singing is right up her alley. They sang songs about all the animals at the zoo, my personal favorite was the monkey song, it was very entertaining. I am a little sad because she is my baby and there will be no more "kindigawden" programs for me, very bitter sweet.

BLOG REMORSE

Okay, so last post was not one of my finest moments and I really feel bad about it. I was not very kind and my son Bridger made me aware of this and I really love him for that. He is a great kid and he has taught me that we need to be more forgiving and love others even when it isn't easy to love them. Thank you son for showing me how to be better, I am so proud of you and I love you very much. You are my HERO!!!!!!!!!!!!

AND THE NEIGHBOR OF THE YEAR GOES TO......

Meet Merry.........Journey got Merry for Christmas this year and loves her very much.( No I didn't name her). Anyway Regan was going to work the other morning and he sees the dog catcher taking an animal in a cage away from the neighbors house and of course he looks in the cage and low and behold there is Merry.(they used tuna fish to bait her also and if you do that every cat in the north forty will be at your house) To his surprise he goes over and says whats the problem officer, the office tells him that the neighbors have complained about this cat being in their yard.( that is the first time we have heard of this) So he hands Regan a ticket for a cat running at large....................... Am I the only one who thinks this is crazy????? I just don't understand how you keep a cat on your property at all times. We have a fenced back yard and she stays there or in the garage so tell me how to keep a cat in your yard? I would love advice on this subject. I get how a dog could bother you they do poop and dig up your yard but a freaking cat, give me a break!!!!! I am bitter as you may have guessed. I never bug my neighbors, I don't try and be best friends, I wave, I take her kid to school everyday even when my own kids don't go, I have tryed to be a good Neighbor and now this!!!!!!!! ooh I HATE STUPID NEIGHBORS!!! Regan went over and just said that he wished they would have let us know before calling the dog catcher so that we could try and take care of problem and not have to pay a 50.00 ticket. They didn't much care and I'm thinking about nominating them for neighbor of the year, what do you think? Remember to be a good neighbor!!!! I wish I had nothing more to worry about in my life than if someones cat in on my lawn.

TAGGED !!!!!!!!!!

My sister in law (Kara) tagged me awhile ago and I haven't done it yet so here goes..............

1. I have always wanted to sell everything we own and buy a motor home and take a year or two off of the hum drum of life and go see every nook of this great country that we live in. I think it sounds like such a great adventure to undertake and what a great opportunity for our kids. Who knows if it will ever happen, if we don't do it with our kids we will for sure do it when Regan and I are old and grey. I guess I have a lot of gypsy blood in me.

2. I LOVE Asian culture. It is so interesting to me, I have always loved it. Regan and I were able to go to Taiwan a couple of years ago ,I was so into the temples and the people and the traditions it was one of my most favorites trips that I have ever been on. If I didn't LOVE the religion that I belong to I would for sure be a Buddhist. I am reading the Buddha and his teachings right now. I just love all the trying to find yourself and getting centered and letting go of all the material things that we find so important in our culture.

3. I have always wanted to learn to make pottery. I remember being about 5 yrs. old and seeing a little play pottery wheel and I wanted one soooooo bad. I asked for one for Christmas but Santa never brought one. ( I guess I wasn't very good that year) I haven't grown out of wanting a pottery wheel and I look on line all the time to try and find one that I can afford.

4. I have never been someone who has a five or ten year plan. I just take life as it comes, I plan maybe a week or two ahead (maybe). I try not to hold too tight to life and let life take me where I am supposed to go. So far it has worked pretty well but I'm not sure if it is always a good thing or not.

5. I don't have a lot of pet peeves but I do have one that has bothered me since I was very young. People that have ear wax build up coming out of there ears. YUCK! All of you know what I am talking about, we have all seen it. I remember being in school and looking over at a kid setting next to me and looking in his ear and he had a whole life time of ear wax coming out of his ears. I mean do you not own a Q tip? If you don't have a Q tip by all means use your finger. As my family will all agree, it is a must that we all have clean ears. I know it is so funny but that kid in class really messed me up!!!!!!

6. I still love to watch Tom and Jerry cartoons. I loved to watch them as a kid and I love them now. I will never grow out of it. Many a good time has been spent with my kids snuggling on the couch or my bed watching Tom and Jerry beat that crap out of each other. I just think it is so funny. They don't make cartoons like that anymore.

So now you know a few things about me that maybe you didn't know before. I tag......Megan, Marcee, Aubrey and Cami

Regan has been at the computer for 3 straight days trying to finish all of his nursing papers that are due. I have been bringing him lots of Diet Coke, snacks and lunchs to keep him going. He has his favorite music going at all times( I think it helps him type better). After he finished with this he headed off to night class at the High School.........what a guy. I think he is the best!!!!!! He works his butt off with his schooling and hardly ever complains. There is an end in sight honey, you can do it!!!!!!!! He will graduate in Dec. Yahoooooooooooooo

Book Share

Journey had to read and share a book that she likes with her class today. The book she chose was "kisses". We read this book at night quit a bit and she really likes it because it is all about different kinds of kisses that you can give someone you love, for example eskimos kisses, buttererfly kisses, mom kisses, grandma kisses, vacation kisses, and her favorite a monster kiss. I'm not sure what a monster kiss is but when she read it all the kids laughed so it must be something grown ups just don't get. My favorite kind of kiss is a Juju kiss.
