A RAINY REUNION

Meet the Queensberry's

We are a disfuctional bunch but we love very stong and very deep.

What family isn't disfuctional.......right?

Kelly, Karen, Me and mom.

sista's

Daryl and Dean are my other two brothers who live in Virginia. I wish that they could have been here.

I miss you both.

We camped up sheep creek at first water. It rained and rained and rained.

The sun did come out all day Monday and that made us all very happy and dry.

We didn't really like the rain but it was much better than the snow that we had last year.

We are going to move the reunion to June in the hopes for better weather.

The rain did make everything green and beautiful though.

Soap carving was a hit again this year.

Aubrey made an i pod out of hers.

Juju made the letter L.... for love.

We always have a "crazy" good time when we are together.

I love my family so much and cherish the time that we spend camping.

Thanks to everyone who came and made it fun and memorable.

Wildflowers are my favorite and Regan never misses an opportunity to get them for me. I would rather he pick wildflowers for me than buy some from a flower shop. Thank's for always remembering and making me feel special and loved.

I love you!!!

The beauty of this amazing earth takes my breath away.

When you look at your life, the greatest happinesses are family happinesses.

HURRAY FOR US!
We planted and made a box garden.
We have wanted to plant a garden for a long time and never got around to it but......
It finally happened.
The little's ( with help from dad) put the boxes together.

Our teenagers were so "happy" to spend a Saturday planting and helping out.

I have a major crush on this handsome farmer.
Isn't he the cutest?

We planted tons of tomatoes, cucumbers, jalapenos, squash, green peppers, egg plant, zucchini, cantaloupes and watermelons.

Planting a garden makes me ever so happy.

I can't wait to eat yummy home grown veggies.

Come on over,

we'd love to share with ya.

MAJOR UPSET

It's that time of year again. Time for the Pinewood Derby. Mckray gets so excited for this. He designs the car and puts much thought into what his car will look like and how it is supposed to run. He is there every step of the way helping build the MASTERPIECE. Anything that he does he puts his whole heart into and gets so excited. He had high hopes for his car and the race.

Well, see the car in last place? That's Mckray's car and the bad part is not that it is in last place. The kicker is that it STOPPED right there and NEVER went further than that......YEP it NEVER crossed the finish line......not one time. All of the cars get a turn on each track and every time his car stopped at the bottom of the hill. Mckray has never had the fastest car at one of these events and he has never won but his car always crossed the finish line. Needless to say he was devastated. I have never seen such a sad little boy. Regan felt horrible as well. He did everything he could to fix whatever was making it stop but never figured out what was wrong.

Major Bummer indeed.

But.........important lessons were learned.

1.Sometimes things just don't work out the way that you planned them to or wanted them to. No matter how hard you try.

AND

2. that a HUGE snow cone fixes just about any problem that your having.

SEASONS OF LIFE

I had a lot of time to think about things this weekend and a scripture kept coming to mind so I will share it with you.
Ecclesiastes 3:1-8
To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
A time to be born, and a time to die: a time to plant, and a time to pluck that which is planted;
A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;
A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;
A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.
This helped me figure a few things out and helped put things into perspective.
Most of all I figured out that right NOW is where I need to be to learn the lessons that I need to learn.

STRING FESTIVAL

Bridger has a deep appreciation for music and
it shows in the way that he plays the viola.
When I watch him play I can tell that it touches him down to his soul.

GRADUATION DAY

Regan and my little sister April.

Watching my husband graduate from collage at the ripe old age of 37 made me really proud. When he marched in and sat down our eyes met and we just looked at each other and tears filled both of our eyes....... we had finally made it.
We did it and we did it together.
Thank you to everyone who came and supported us on this very happy day.
I love you sweetness
you are my hero.
