DIAMOND FORK IN THE FALL

DESPITE THE FACT THAT WE GET OUT OF CHURCH AT 5:30 WE STILL TOOK ADVANTAGE OF THE FEW HOURS LEFT IN OUR WEEKEND. FALL IS HERE AND DIAMOND FORK CANYON IS BEAUTIFUL. MENA MADE SOME BBQ CHICKEN AND GRANNY QUEENIE SUPPLIED DESERT, AND WE WENT UP INTO THE WASATCH FOR DINNER AND A NATURE WALK.

One of our favorite games is to run ahead of the group, hide in the bushes and then scare everyone as they come by.
The blurred stump in the foreground is a tree that a beaver had cut down with his teeth. We love to have Grannie Queenie along on our adventures.

What is more fun than a can of whip cream!!!!!!!!We ended the night enjoying a campfire and each others company. I love the fall. It was perfect weather and yet with summer gone we practically had the canyon to ourselves.

DANCE LESSONS

We asked Juju of she wanted to play soccer or take dance lessons. She picked the dance lessons. She was so excited to learn how to dance and to go pick out a dance outfit....she is all about the clothes. When she went to the first class she went straight to the front row and never took her eyes off the teacher...... she didn't want to miss a thing. Needless to say, she loves DANCE.

HARVEST MOON HURRAY

Our fun little town put on the annual Harvest Moon Hurray. It is a little get together with the whole town. It offers lots of games, food and "interesting" entertainment. The best part about it is that it is all free.(except the food)

Juju enjoying the harvest.

Love the leaf crowns . While Juju and I were waiting in the longggggg balloon line the boys went to go play some games. Bridger made this crown for his little sister. What a great big brother.

Thanks dad for coming to hang out with us after working a 12hr. shift. We all love you.Making a masterpiece out of apple stamps. Finally, after an hour wait we got 2 swords and a silly hat.

What a great way to welcome in the fall.

COMMMME AND GET IT

I was cooking dinner the other day and when I looked out my kitchen window I see Juju sitting in the driveway with a stick in her hand. I didn't think much of it but when dinner was almost ready I decided to check on her. I came out and ask her what she was doing and she said. " I'm just seeing if it is hot enough to cook an egg on the sidewalk." Oh I said, Hows it coming. " Good" she said. "Do you want some?"
Yummy under cooked scrambled egg with the shells. Who doesn't want some of that?

KITE FESTIVAL

Our town had it's first annual Kite Festival. The festival was held in honor of the new wind mills that were put in at the mouth of the canyon. As you can image there were a lot of kites. Kites being flown on the back of jets skies , there was a giant octopus kite, the kids were able to make there own kites, kite museums, kites on display everywhere. Our kids favorite part was standing on the edge of the reservoir and letting the jets skies cover them with huge blankets of water. At the end of the day they were soaking wet but extremely happy.
Journey finding her chi.
We missed Aubrey, she was at Homecoming.

HOMECOMING DANCE

Aubrey went to Homecoming on Saturday. She went with a boy named Ryan that she didn't really know very well but they ended up having a really good time. He asked her by putting an alarm clock under her bed and set it to go off at 4 a.m. When it went off she was running around in her room in a daze and thinking that the fire alarm was going off, she quickly realized it wasn't the fire alarm and began thinking that the carbon monoxide detector was going off but the only problem with that is that we don't have one of those. It took her a good five min. to figure out what was going on and soon found the obnoxious clock and turned it off. With the clock was a note that said "Don't be alarmed,go to homecoming with me." They went 4 wheeling during the day and to Olive Garden for dinner with a group of his friends from the swim team.

The ever awkward exchanging of flowers, made worse only by parents taking pictures! Sorry Aubrey. Hopefully you will thank me later.

POWDER PUFF

Aubrey and a bunch of her friends played powder puff football this year. The team name was the "ROUGH RAIDERS."
What a powder puff!!
Not bad for a little ol' thing. I think she is barely pushing a buck o five.

Aubrey took a serious elbow to the nose, blood was everywhere. We were so proud.
These girls will mess you up!!!
You don't want to mess with 'em. Nice tissue up your nose Aub.

BRINGING A LITTLE CULTURE

Bridger, as usual is bringing a little culture to our family by playing the Viola in orchestra. He is really excited to learn to play an instrument and he thought the viola would be right up his alley. We can't wait until he can play us some really nice tunes. But until then we may need some ear plugs.
