ELDER HOPKINS IS HOME!!!

My nephew has returned from his mission!! He served in the Laguna Beach Ca. area. We are all so happy to have him home. What an amazing person he is. He served an incredible mission and learned and grew so much. He left a boy and has truly come back a man. I am so proud of the man that he has become and he is such a great example to our family. He is the first Quennsberry man to serve a mission and we are all so proud . He broke his arm while on his mission and had to come home 3 weeks early and I know that this was really hard for him but he has so much faith and he knows that our Heavenly Father is in charge and he is so willing to do everything that his Heavenly Father ask him to do. He is going in for surgery today and we are all praying for the doctors to be able to fix his arm and that he won't have any long term damage to it. You are in our prayers Rob and we love you and are so happy that you are home. You have made all those that have been around you want to be a better person and to stand a little taller and to really live the gospel. Thank you again for your amazing example.
Hugging his mom for the first time in 2 years.

MAN STUFF

So, for months now Mckray have been asking when he can have his very own "Man Stuff." What is man stuff you ask?........it's deodorant. This kid is obsessed! While we were shopping for school supplies we got Bridger some deodorant and decided to get Mckray some also and we knew he would be thrilled and we were right, he talks non stop about his "man stuff" and ask questions like. How long does this last? How many times a day can I put it on? Do I have to take a shower before I put it on? The questions never end. He has "man stuff" on the brain. Just this morning he told me that it last for 23 hrs. go figure, not 24....... so I guess he won't smell good for one hour out of the day, thats pretty good right? He informed Journey that he smells like a M.....A.....N!!!! Oh he is too funny. I am so proud of my clean, action fresh smelling little man. He isn't a man just yet but we love him just the same.

We played cold potato, water balloon relay, who can pick up ice with your feet, wet shirt relay, water jug relay, dunk bucket and everyone took a few turns on the slip and slide. It was water mania!!

FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL

Bummer! It's back to school time where we have to be on a schedule and go to bed early and wake up early. I guess we will get over it! The kids were all excited to go back to school and see all of their friends. I wasn't ready for school to start just yet but I am always that way. I love having the kids at home so that we can play and have fun. This year is quit different because I have ALL my kids in school ALL day.AHHHHHH. It has been so long since I have had time to myself I'm not sure what I want to do with all this free time. (Any suggestions would be appreciated) Juju's first day of 1 st grade.
Mckray's first day of 3rd grade.
Bridger's first day of 7th grade. The 7th graders went a day early to get used to Jr. High and go through all the day without the whole school there. I found myself crying very unexpectedly when we dropped him off to school. It was like sending him to kindergarten again.
Aubrey's first day of 11th grade. We bought her a car this summer so that she could drive to school. When she drove off to school by herself this is when Regan started to get teary eyed. (don't tell him I told ya) We both are a bunch of softies when it comes to our kids. They are growing up way too fast for us and at times we wish we had a rewind button.

BACK TO SCHOOL SHOPPING

It's that time of year again. Putting on and taking off. Yes I want that and no I'm not wearing that. I remeber how important school shopping was, making sure you got just the right clothes to show your personality. Bridger starts Jr. High this year; a critical year for school shopping. Luckily he had his cousins and big sister to help.

JOURNEY AND RAIN

Journey's most favorite thing in this world is horses. Naturally being a Palfreyman (defined as keeper of horses) it is in her blood but she is crazy about them. When she was two years old or even younger she loved to watch the movie "Spirit". She wanted to be a horse. We didn't know back then how much her personality is like a wild horse. She is a wild and a free spirit and not easily tamed but she is beautiful and loving and gentle as well. When she was three years old I took her on a ride up on the mountain. She didn't want to go back. After about three hours her little legs were so sore she was crying so we went home. Despite her sore legs she cried even harder at having to get off the horse. She cried for well over an hour! Saturday all of our other kids were away doing other things so we asked Ju ju what she wanted to do. As you might have guessed she wanted to go see the horses.

WE JUST CAN'T GET ENOUGH

While the big kids are away the little kids get to play with Mom and Dad. We asked the Little's what they wanted to do and they both wanted to go golfing AGAIN!! Mckray had been golfing already in the morning with his golf league then, a couple hours later we were back up there. I guess we just can't get enough!!

The boys washing their balls.......tee hee!!!
Nice form Juju
It was a little windy can't you tell.
Discussing the game. After golf we went and had a little dinner and for dessert we had snow cones. The kids laughed and laughed and it is one of the highlights of being a mom to be able to sit back and watch your kids enjoying life. Regan and the kids can't get enough of playing golf and I just can't get enough of hanging out with them!!

FARRER FAMILY FUN

The Farrer family had a get together at the park filled with water balloon fun, thanks to uncle Cody for the balloons and launcher.
It was a fun day for the kids who ran around and played and played while the adults sat around and visited. I feel really bad for Aunt Janean and Uncle Steve I haven't seen them look so sullen and downhearted for quit some time they were so disappointed that none of there kids came!!! You know who you are!!! She told me I was to reprimand you all!!! You really think that Moab is more fun than coming to the park with us?

CADDYSHACK

Regan loves the game of golf and wants to share that love with our kids so while I was sick with some weird summer sore throat he took ALL of them golfing. Do you see why I love him so very much?

Mckray just made the million dollar putt!!!
Silence please.
Juju's favorite part of golfing is being able to drive the cart.

The kids are really coming along with their golf skills. They all seem to enjoy playing. Aubrey just got a job at our local golf course so she will be able to get in a lot more practice.
