Meet Darby

she is our three year old

mini schnauzer

and such a great family dog.

She is a major barker only when people come over for a visit

which is soooo annoying

but that is part of her breed.

She tolerates me dressing her up in stupid hats for pictures

i know she is mortified by the whole experience

Journey thinks that Darby is her little sister

which is completely fine with me since jujuj wants me to have another baby

but

that's just not going to happen.

Hurray for pets!!

PAPER SNOWFLAKES

winter blues

&

actin' ugly

i guess since we have gotten next to no snow this year

the lil's decided to make their own snow

well

paper snowflakes that is.

it amazes to me how long they can sit

and

cut and cut and cut

and

cut some more.

I for one have been very happy about the lack of snow this winter.

i am not a huge fan of snow or winter

i get the winter blues

and

i am ready for spring!!!!!

Speaking of the blues......i think our whole family has the winter blues.

We are all super duper grumpy,short tempered, easily bugged and being down right

UGLY!!

when i was a kid my aunts and momma would say "quit being ugly" when i was actin' a fool.

we have a horrid case of the actin' UGLY round here...

yep, parents included in the actin' a fool.

we need a vacation.

a vacation fixes everything

LUVAH'S DAY

was spent with a few peeps that i am rather fond of.

My hubs, momma, sister, bro. in law, brother and his new girly friend Julie. i really like the new girly friend by the way.

We left the kids at home and just made the day about the big folks.

We went to hardware ranch which is a place up by Logan where you are taken on a hay ride to look at elk. We were in the middle of about 300 head. I found the hay ride to be too short and

it wasn't as neat as i had envisioned it to be.....just sayin.

but

it was a beautiful day with stunning blue skies overhead.

On the drive home we saw a bald eagle doing some fishing,i never tire of seeing one of Gods most beautiful creatures.

Mckray and journey made up an Olympic sport called

not sure that would fit into the winter games but still very entertaining.

what was more entertaining was the whole gang playing our version of short track speed skating. i bifffffffffffed it BIG time going around the island in the kitchen...it wasn't pretty but it was very, very funny. so wished we had a picture of that.

I don' think i have a future in short track.

thrift shopping..didn't find much but had a fab time people watching.

oh what joy i get doing both.

Into the sun

Last night as i was doing my dishes, i was feeling a little down and pretty lost in my thoughts. It has been a very busy couple of weeks and I'm not a huge fan of having every minute of my day filled with "stuff" to do and "stuff" to get done.

i enjoy my down time.

i looked up from the dishes and my thoughts and saw that the sun was setting and it nearly took my breath away.

I grabbed my camera and told the hubs and tator tots (kids) that i would be back in awhile.

It felt so rejuvenating to get out on such a beautiful night and snap some photos

and

fill up my time enjoying something that i love...... gods creations.

i was the youngest in my family and remember doing the same thing to my older sister.

thought it was funny then and still think it's funny now.
